Synopsis: In 2012, Republicans across the country wanted a “real politician”. They said they were tired of the veiled speech and flip flopping, they just wanted someone to mean what they say. By 2016, it became apparent, some of them, did not mean that, as they accused Donald Trump of being too blunt. Is everyone a hypocrite? Bootleggers and Baptists is the term given to people who want the same thing for different reasons. We tend to start viewing those who don’t agree as Machiavellian dictators, and those on our side as Jesus.
